Art In Religion Today was the first public exhibition of Jerry's work. The painting, The Chapel, is also the first artwork larger than a small drawing Jerry created prior to this painting. It was a national juried competitive exhibition organized by the Independent Presbyterian Church and the Birmingham Museum of Art in Birmingham, AL.
